ONE of the iconic 1970 Dodge Charger R/T hero cars, which shared screen time with Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker in The Fast and The Furious series, is going under the hammer at Manheim Pennsylvania – the world's largest wholesale vehicle auction – on March 16, during its Xtreme Spring sales event.
The Charger, which appeared in the fourth and fifth instalments of the famous film franchise, will be offered during a special section of the sale, featuring a consignment of rare classic cars and more modern vehicles listed at $200,000 and over.
It will be auctioned alongside a 1989 Lamborghini Countach, a 2016 Lamborghini Aventador SV, a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am Macho Edition, and a 2015 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe. Over the course of the two-day event, the 30-lane, 600-acre auction centre will offer more than 12,000 vehicles.
The Xtreme Spring event will also raise funds for Keystone Warriors, which supports military veterans in the state of Pennsylvania. Those US car dealers attending the sale can do so by making a donation to the Keystone Warriors in the lobby during each sale and at the event.
