Burglary to Motor Vehicle
An officer was dispatched to LA Fitness in the 2400 block of E. Lincoln Highway at 9:15 p.m. on Feb. 7 in reference to a complaint of burglary to motor vehicle. The complainant advised that an unknown person broke a window to their vehicle and removed property without permission.
Theft
An officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Laraway Road at 11:18 a.m. on Feb. 9 in reference to a complaint of a theft. The complainant advised that an unknown person stole their bowling bag which contained their wallet while they were at Laraway Lanes.
Retail Theft
Alicia N. Dean, 37, of Como, Mississippi was charged with retail theft at 2:36 p.m. on Feb. 10 at Wal-Mart in the 500 block of E. Lincoln Highway. An officer was dispatched in reference to a retail theft. The officer learned that Dean was stopped by store security after she was observed stealing clothing from the store.
Criminal Damage to Vehicle
An officer was dispatched to Silver Cross Hospital in reference to a complaint of a criminal damage to vehicle at 4:04 p.m. on Feb. 10. The complainant advised that an unknown person keyed their vehicle while it was parked at the hospital.
Speeding
Aaron Jones, 43, of the 700 block of Pine St. was stopped at Joliet Highway and Stafford Drive at 12:39 a.m. on Feb. 11 and cited for speeding and no valid driver's license. An officer was running radar and observed a vehicle speeding. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The officer discovered that the driver, Jones, did not have a valid driver's license.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Wade M. Davis, 20, of the 2900 block of Farmview was stopped at Nelson Road and Joliet Highway at 2:17 a.m. on Feb. 11 and cited for speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer observed a vehicle traveling with improper lightin g. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The officer discovered that the driver, Davis, was also in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Identity Theft
Solomon Morris, 52, Chicago was charged with identity theft, possession of a fraudulent identification card and possession of a counterfeit credit card at 4:22 p.m. on Feb. 11 at the Verizon Wireless store in the 500 block of E. Lincoln Highway. An officer was dispatched in reference to a report of a fraud in progress. The officer arrived and learned that Morris was attempting to purchases cell phones using a fraudulent driver's license and a fraudulent credit card.
Warrant
Tammy Y. McDowell, 30, Park Forest was charged with speeding and on an outstanding warrant out of Will County during a traffic stop at Maple and Pine streets on Feb. 12 at 3:10 a.m.
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Jessica Bedmarz, 23, Frankfort was charged w ith speeding, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment when stopped at Maple and Vine streets at 3:54 a.m. on Feb. 12.
