To improve children's safety, from March 1st, car seat regulations are changing.
You can read our complete break down of the new car seat rules here[1] , but to put it simply - the new laws aim to improve kids' safety by stopping manufacturers introducing new backless booster seats for children who are smaller than a certain size.
Still confused? You're not alone. Halfords[2] found that 65 percent of parents found the new rules puzzling while 86 percent aren't sure what exactly the changes mean for them.
To try demystify the changes, Halfords has launched its Safer Seat campaign, giving parents 20% off any new high back booster seat[3] when they trade in their old booster cushions.
To claim the discount, all you have to do is place your click & collect order for your new high back booster, using the code saferseat at the checkout. Just take your old cushion booster with you when you go to pick it up and you'll qualify for the discount.

They will also be putting height charts and scales in store, plus copies of the guidelines, to help parents choose the right seat for their child.
Think![4] found that in 2014, 80 children aged 0-4 were seriously injured as car passengers, accounting for 28% of road casualties for this age group.
