WEST HAVEN – A car ended up on the train tracks in West Haven[1] early Thursday morning.
Police said the driver hit several parked cars[2], then ended up on the tracks.
The West Haven police and fire departments and the Metro North Police Department all responded to the accident on the train tracks at around 1:20 a.m.
Police said the tracks were shut down as a rescue operation began.
Police said the driver, who suffered some type of medical emergency, was taken to an area hospital. The drivers condition was not known Thursday morning.
Police said that no other injuries were reported.
