Swansway Motor Group has dropped its Swansway Select non franchise used car branding and replaced it with Swansway Motor Match.
The new branding is being used signage, totems, flags, windscreen flashes, crowners and sun-visor price hangers.
The website has also been re-branded and the new branding will feature in digital advertising.
Motor Match is being trialled at Swansway Honda centres in Bolton, Rochdale, Manchester and Stockport.
The dealer group switched to Motor Match following a survey of its customers to see what they thought of the brand name and logo.
Customers told the dealer group the Swansway Selectlogo was "a bit wishy-washy", "difficult to read" and that it looked "dated and boring".
The majority of those surveyed, 82%, didn't understand what Swansway Select was; some thought it was a car finance brand, others a recruitment company and some a servicing option.
Marketing manager, Anna Ling explained, "It was very clear that the Swansway Select brand was not working for our customers; we wanted to convey our determination to give our customers what they wanted in a used car, to match them up with their perfect used car partner and we feel that our new Motor Match brand does just that".
Director John Smyth said: "The new brand is fresh, modern and bold, it encapsulates our non-franchised used offering and I'm looking forward to seeing it rolled out across our sites".
