When police pulled over a swerving car, they discovered a dashboard full of cannabis, a court heard.
Christopher Gibson pleaded guilty in Whanganui District Court on Tuesday to one charge of possessing cannabis.
Police Prosecutor Stephen Butler told the court on January 1 at 8pm police observed a car swerving over the centre line of the road.
They pulled over the car to discover cannabis clearly displayed on the dashboard.
Searching the car they found 6 grams of cannabis plant and 3.4 grams of cannabis oil.
He told police the oil was for personal use.
Judge David Cameron noted Gibson did not have a criminal history and ordered him to pay a $530 fine.
