Charleston police have arrested a man accused of stealing a car from a bed and breakfast.
Kavares Terry, 22, of Amaker Street in Charleston, was arrested Tuesday and charged with grand larceny.
A couple visiting from North Carolina reported that their 2006 Nissan Maxima was stolen from 22 Charlotte Bed & Breakfast overnight Sept. 16. The car contained their belongings, including a Glock .40 caliber handgun and jewelry valued at $50,000, according to a Charleston Police Department incident report.
Officers found some of the couple's items that had been tossed on the sidewalk. The victims' credit card was used at a Mount Pleasant gas station.
The vehicle was recovered in Georgetown shortly after it went missing.
