On Thursday afternoon, the driver of a white Cadillac attempted to park in front of the U-Save Pharmacy in Gering. According to Gering Police Officer Kevin Lehr, the driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal, causing the car to accelerate and hit the flower bed in front of the pharmacy. The driver was shaken up, but uninjured, Lehr said.
There was no damage to the U-Save Pharmacy building, only to the flower bed and the vehicle. No other details were available as of press time.
