It was a busy weekend of football across the globe. The FA Cup quarter-finals ran alongside a selection of Premier League matches. There was also action in Europe's other top leagues, and Major League Soccer entered its second week. Regular golazo contributors Lionel Messi[1] and Paulo Dybala were up to their usual tricks, and they're joined by eight others in our countdown of the weekend's top 10 strikes. Sit back and enjoy. Watford dumped holders Arsenal out of the FA Cup on Sunday with a surprise 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium. Odion Ighalo opened the scoring after 50 minutes, but it was Adlene Guedioura who provided the game's best highlight when he doubled the Hornet's lead shortly after the hour mark. The Algerian latched onto a loose ball and sent a ferocious first-time strike into the top corner, leaving Gunners goalkeeper David Ospina with little chance. Boom. Romelu Lukaku[7] returned to haunt his former club on Saturday, scoring twice to help Everton knock Chelsea out of the FA Cup. With the game still goalless after 77 minutes, Lukaku showed great strength and deft feet to cut inside Cesar Azpilicueta and Branislav Ivanovic before drifting past John Obi Mikel. He then turned Gary Cahill inside out with more brilliant movement before firing clinically past Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian added a second five minutes later as the Toffees claimed a 2-0 win at Goodison Park. Dimitri Payet stepped up again for West Ham United on Sunday, scoring a brilliant free-kick in the Hammers' 1-1 FA Cup quarter-final draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford. It takes a lot to beat David De Gea from 30 yards, but Payet showed he's more than capable when he found the net via the inside of the post after 68 minutes. The Frenchman has been one of the Premier League's top performers this season, and he carried that form across to the cup to keep West Ham's trophy hopes alive. Lionel Messi did what Lionel Messi does on Saturday, scoring a brilliant goal in Barcelona's 6-0 win over Getafe at the Camp Nou. The home side were already 3-0 up when Messi received the ball with his back to goal some 30 yards out. But quick as a flash, the Argentinian twisted around his marker and unleashed a powerful drive into the bottom corner. Classic Messi. [YouTube: Footy live[14]] Paulo Dybala showed exactly why he's one of the game's hottest talents on Friday with a sublime goal in Juventus' 1-0 win over Sassuolo in Turin. The move started when on-loan Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado burst down the right flank before cutting the ball back to Dybala on the edge of the box. The 22-year-old Argentinian got the ball out of his feet before whipping a lovely, arching effort past the goalkeeper, Andrea Consigli, and into the top corner. This kid is going places. [YouTube: Calcio Show[17]] Our first lob of the week comes courtesy of Ross McCormack, who scored a delightful effort in Fulham's 2-1 defeat at home to Bristol City on Saturday. The game was only three minutes old when the Scottish forward latched onto Michael Madl's ball over the top, taking it under control with a fine first touch before lifting a sumptuous effort[18] into the far side of the goal, shared by Football On 5. Woof. Arda Turan scored his second goal for Barcelona with a well-taken overhead kick in the Catalans' 6-0 win over Getafe on Saturday. Luis Enrique's side were 5-0 ahead with 57 minutes gone, when a corner from the left was helped on by Gerard Pique toward Turan, who adjusted his body and sent an acrobatic volley past the goalkeeper. Dom Dwyer was the hero for Sporting Kansas City again on Sunday, scoring twice to help his side beat Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1. The English forward certainly didn't waste any time making an impact, smashing a stunning effort in off the crossbar after just five minutes of the Major League Soccer clash. He added another shortly before half-time as Kansas made it two wins from two in this year's competition. [Vine] Queens Park Rangers recorded an impressive 3-0 win over Brentford on Saturday, with the highlight coming courtesy of Junior Hoilett's right boot. The Canadian winger opened the scoring on 38 minutes, driving toward the Brentford goal before cutting inside and whipping a delightful curling effort into the top corner. QPR added two more in the second half to record back-to-back wins for the first time since December. [YouTube: Queens Park Rangers] There's an early front-runner for Major League Soccer's 2016 goal of the season after this sensational effort from Quincy Amarikwa. San Jose Earthquakes were winning 1-0 against MLS Cup holders Portland Timbers as half-time approached, when the American forward raced into the visitor's half and sent an outrageous lob into the net from all of 30 yards. The Quakes held on to claim a 2-1 win, with Amarikwa's strike a very worthy matchwinner. [YouTube: FOX Soccer[26]]
