3 Injured In New Year's Morning Crash In Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX18) - Three people were recovering Sunday after an early morning crash in Lexington.

The crash happened just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning on New Circle Road and Bryan Avenue.

Police say a truck headed inbound on Bryan Avenue collided with a car that was on the inner loop of New Circle. The driver of the car had to be cut from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital with what were considered serious injuries. Two people in the truck were also taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

Police suspected alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
