Abandoned Jaguar in Derby city centre disabled bay 'since before Christmas'

A French executive car has been left abandoned in a Derby city centre disabled parking bay since the middle of December, according to a nearby business owner.

The blue Jaguar boasts an Apple logo-shaped sticker hanging from the rear view mirror and appears to have one wheel missing.

Parked in a disabled bay in The Strand, it also has a private French number plate and two penalty notices stuck to the front windscreen.

Baked bakery and cafe owner Victoria Bate said authorities knew about the car but nothing had been done since it was left there one week before Christmas. She said: "It has been reported to the police and the council and I'm just hoping you can raise its profile."

The Derby Telegraph has contacted Derby City Council about the vehicle and has not yet received a response.
